TrendVid is an independent, ad-supported directory of what is popular on YouTube right now. Instead of scrolling an endless feed, you pick a country and a category and immediately see the videos that are actually charting in that market — the same lists that YouTube maintains internally as its “most popular” charts.
How it works
- We query the YouTube Data API for the most popular videos for a given region and video category.
- Results are cached on our own Cloudflare Worker so pages load quickly and we stay inside API quotas.
- For the Global view we sample several countries, then rank a video higher when it charts in more than one of them — a simple, transparent way to measure worldwide momentum.
- Every video plays inside an embedded YouTube player. The video file itself is never copied, re-uploaded or re-hosted by us.
What we do not do
- We do not host, download or re-encode any video.
- We do not claim ownership of any video, thumbnail, title, channel name or trademark.
- We do not sell viewer data. There is no account system and no newsletter requiring personal details.
- We do not accept paid placements that hide the fact that something is an advertisement.
How TrendVid is funded
The site is free to use and funded by advertising (Google AdSense) plus occasional clearly-labelled partner links. Ads keep the service running and pay for the API and infrastructure costs. Sponsored links always carry a visible label, and they never influence which videos appear in a chart.
Independence and accuracy
TrendVid is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google. Rankings reflect the YouTube charts at the moment we fetched them and update continuously; view counts are approximate and are shown in a compact form (for example 53.7K) for readability.
